Shepherd Men’s Soccer Knocks Off UPJ

Freshman midfielder Justin Langon (Upper Marlboro, Md./Bishop McNamara) scored on a pass from freshman midfielder Bryce Kilmer (Inwood, W.Va./St. James School) at the 59:21 mark to lift Shepherd University (1-1-1) to a 1-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown (0-1-0) in men's soccer action Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday. 

Senior netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded two saves in a shutout performance for the Rams. PJ Derksen had four saves for the Mountain Cats. 

Shepherd had a 16-11 advantage in shots with a 5-2 edge in shots on goal. The Rams had a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Slippery Rock for a noon contest.
