Samuel Hershey scored a pair of goals to lead Lock Haven (4-4-2, 2-1-1 PSAC East) to a 3-1 win over Shepherd University (1-6-3, 0-5-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon.
Lock Haven took a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal by Hershey at the 10:54 mark.
Connor Burke scored on a header off assists from Connor Swope and Ryan Foskey at the 29:41 mark to give the Bald Eagles a 2-0 advantage at the break.
Senior midfielder Shamar Robinson (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mount Vernon) scored on a penalty kick at the 67:03 mark to cut the lead to 2-1.
Lock Haven added a goal by Hershey on a penalty kick at the 86:32 mark.
Senior netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded seven saves for the Rams. Aitor Ruiz de Eguilaz posted a save for the Bald Eagles.
Lock Haven had a 12-5 edge in shots with a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Bald Eagles had a 10-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Frostburg State for a 2 p.m. match.
