Junior guard Daniel McClain-Corley (Clinton, Md./Massanutten Military Academy) scored a team-high 22 points to lead Shepherd (8-7, 5-4 PSAC) to an 81-72 win over Bloomsburg (0-13, 09-9 PSAC) in PSAC men's basketball action at Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon. 

McClain-Corley connected on 9-of-12 field goals and 4-of-6 free throws. He also added five assists and five rebounds.

Sophomore guard Carson Poffenberger (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown) added a career-high 17 points and six rebounds, while sophomore guard Jarod Robinson (Laurel, Md./Glenelg Country School) tossed in 16 points. Senior guard Jon Preston (Brandywine, Md./Rock Creek Christian) had 13 points and five assists. 

Louie Wild scored a game-high 32 points for the Huskies. Matt Bergel added 16 points. 

Shepherd had a 33-25 lead at halftime. 

Shepherd led by as many as 19 points in the second half. Bloomsburg rallied to within five points at 75-70 after a jumper by Wild with 35 seconds left in regulation. Shepherd closed the game on a 6-2 run with a 6-of-6 effort from the foul line to seal the victory. 

Shepherd connected on 55.8 percent (29-52) of its field goals with a 36.8 percent (7-19) performance from three-point range. The Rams drained 84.2 percent (16-19) of their free throws. 

Bloomsburg shot 44.4 percent (24-54) from the floor with a 38.1 percent (8-21) effort from beyond the arc. The Huskies hit on 84.2 percent (16-19) of their free throws. 

Bloomsburg had a 30-26 edge in rebounding. The Rams forced 10 turnovers and committed eight. 

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host East Stroudsburg for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
