Shepherd Women Fall at Bloomsburg

 Allison Hileman scored a game-high 15 points to lead Bloomsburg (4-9, 2-7 PSAC) to a 76-37 win over Shepherd University (0-14, 0-9  PSAC) in PSAC women's basketball action at  Bloomsburg on Saturday. 

Sophomore guard Meghan Shipley (Middletown, Md./Middletown) scored 11 points to pace the Rams. Shipley connected on 4-of-11 field goals with a 1-of-1 effort from the foul line. She was 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. Shipley added two rebounds and a pair of assists. 

Junior guard Madison Mertz (Maugansville, Md./North Hagerstown) added five points and six rebounds. Sophomore forward Neresha Miller (Landover, Md./DuVal/Alderson Broaddus) contributed five points and a team-high six rebounds. 

Katelin Starr added 12 points for the Huskies. Megan Fisher contributed six points and a game-high nine rebounds. 

Bloomsburg had a 39-21 advantage at halftime. 

Shepherd shot 26 percent (13-50) from the floor with a 28.6 percent (4-14) performance from beyond the arc for the game. The Rams hit on 50 percent (7-14) of their free throws.

Bloomsburg shot 41.2 percent (28-68) from the floor with a 38.7 percent effort (8-14) from three-point range. The Huskies shot 57.1 percent (8-14) from the foul line.

Bloomsburg had a 47-34 edge in rebounding. The Rams forced four turnovers and committed 13. 

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host East Stroudsburg for a 5:30 p.m. game.
