The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is saddened to share the passing of Retired Lieutenant Kenneth Mills 

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is saddened to share the passing of Retired Lieutenant Kenneth Mills.  Lt. Mills began his law enforcement career at Ranson Police Department in 1965 before joining the Sheriff’s Office in 1973.  While he retired as a deputy in June 2000, he wasn’t gone for long before continuing to serve as a Bailiff and Process Server from July 1, 2000 until his passing.  Offering a lifetime of service to the citizens of Jefferson County, his presence and dedication will be greatly missed.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Judy, children Danny, Renee, and Julie and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 1100 to 1400 with funeral services to immediately follow at Eackles-Spencer Norton Funeral Home.
