 Shepherd University (11-3) gained a pair of wins in softball action at The Spring Games on Monday. The Rams earned a 4-3 win in the early game against New Haven (0-11) and added a 12-4 victory over Alliance (0-7) in the later contest.  

New Haven took a 1-0 lead in the first inning as Bella Chenet had a lead-off triple and later scored on a single by Halle Frederick. 

Shepherd answered back in the third on a two-run double off the bat of senior designated player Cameron Davis (Ayden, N.C./South Central/UNC Pembroke). 

New Haven tied the game in the fourth on an RBI-single by Hailey Polisano. 

Shepherd took a 3-2 lead in the sixth as senior outfielder Kylie Condon (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) singled and later scored on a double by senior catcher Alex Mantz (Edinburg, Va./Central).  

New Haven tied the game in the seventh on a solo homer by Meg Anderson. 

Sophomore infielder Lexi Clatterbuck (Front Royal, Va./Skyline) led off the bottom of the seventh with a single and later scored the game-winner on a single by Mantz. 

Mantz went 3-for-4 to lead an 11-hit attack for the Rams. 

Freshman pitcher Abby McBride (Northeast, Md./Rising Sun) (7.0 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 1 K, 1 BB) (2-1) gained the win. New Haven starter Mia Iodice (6.2 IP, 11 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 K, 2 BB) (0-4) took the loss. 

Shepherd used a 14-hit attack en route to the 12-4 win over Alliance. 

Junior outfielder Isabella Forte (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) belated a two-run homer to pace the Rams. 

Senior pitcher Katie Laing (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) (3-2) earned the win for the Rams. Addyson Girard took the loss for Alliance. 

The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they face Salem at 9 a.m. and Bentley at 11:30 a.m.
