This week, Shayla Brown is being recognized as the GEM of the Week. Ms. Haines praised Mrs. Brown for her exceptional qualities as a teacher, highlighting her ability to create a supportive environment for students both academically and emotionally.
"Mrs. Brown is a phenomenal teacher and her kindness makes her a safe place for each student to thrive academically and emotionally," said Ms. Haines. "Students know that they can count on Mrs. Brown to teach, lead, and support them. I have never heard so many children praise a teacher for caring so much about them as I do for Mrs. Brown."
