This week, Gavin Price is being recognized as the GEM of the Week by Berkeley County Schools. Ms. Ridgeway, who has known Gavin since third grade, praised his dedication and enthusiasm for learning.

“I’ve known Gavin since 3rd grade. He works very hard in school and brightens my day every time I see him. He has a big interest in the Civil War, participates in skirmish re-enactments, and brings a wide variety of reading materials to school, including a very large Official Military Atlas of the Civil War," said Ms. Ridgeway.

Gavin's commitment to education is appreciated by both Berkeley County Schools and Mill Creek Intermediate.
