Care Solace Partnership

“As we continue prioritizing the needs of the whole child and supporting our faculty and staff, we must respond to rising community mental health needs that have increased,” said Dr. Jason Radford, OCS superintendent.

Oldham County Health Director Matt Rhodes added, “the Oldham County Health Department is very excited to support this initiative. The opportunity to partner with Oldham County Schools to improve health outcomes is a win for our community.”

The goal of Care Solace is to ensure communities can access reliable, ethical and high-quality mental health care services – no matter the circumstances. The Care Solace team are experts in navigating insurance for families and getting around the long wait times to secure an intake appointment. They can shrink the wait times from 3 months or longer to around 72 hours.

  • Students, students' families, faculty and staff, and their families can anonymously and confidentially seek mental health care using a web-based system (Care Match) and get connected with a qualified, licensed mental health care professional
  • The custom URL created for our district will connect users to support available 24/7, including holidays and breaks
  • 200+ languages are spoken with live translators available
  • Care regardless of insurance: private, Medicare, sliding scale, even no coverage

"Fiscal Court is pleased to be able to work with the Board of Education and Health Department to provide the Care Solace program for this school year,” said Oldham County Judge Executive David Voegele. “Our community is stronger and many more students, family members, and school staff are able to be helped when we come together to fight mental illness."

Information on how families and staff can access this resource will be provided within the next few days.
