Senior offensive tackle Joey Fisher (Hagerstown, Md./Clear Spring) of the Shepherd University football team has been named one of nine national finalists for the 2022 Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year Award, presented by the Manheim Touchdown Club.
Senior quarterback Tyson Bagent (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) of the Shepherd University football team added another NCAA II career mark to his resume on Saturday. Bagent passed for 235 yards on the day to give him 16,266 passing yards for his career. He eclipses the previous NCAA II mark of 16,265 set by Bo Cordell of Tusculum (2009-13).
