Cost of college was unchanged for all students at American Public University System

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at American Public University System, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

West Virginia students paid $6,880 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 66 students received grants or scholarships totaling $381,853 and 48 students took out student loans totaling more than $499,128.

Including all undergraduates (46,088), 32,080 students used grants or scholarships totaling $54.7 million, and 8,449 students took out $73 million in federal student loans.
