Berkeley County Schools has announced Robert Bellissimo as the recipient of the November Distinguished Service Award. Bellissimo serves as a custodian at Mountain Ridge Middle School.
Bellissimo's contributions extend beyond his official duties. He decorates the teacher workroom for holidays and surprises staff with birthday treats. Additionally, he organizes ice cream sundaes, provides games and puzzles, and participates in spirit days while performing his custodial responsibilities in the evenings.
The staff at Mountain Ridge Middle School describe Bellissimo as having the "heart of a dragon." The school district expressed gratitude for his positivity and dedication to the school community.
