Berkeley County Schools has recognized the efforts of community partners through its "Bright Lights, Big Thanks" program. This initiative acknowledges organizations and individuals who have significantly supported the district's students, staff, and teachers. The program emphasizes the importance of partnerships with businesses, organizations, and local leaders in creating a positive educational environment. These collaborations involve volunteer work, funding, mentorship, or program support to enhance learning and strengthen school-community ties.

This year, several organizations were honored for their exceptional dedication: Shenandoah Community Health, Friends of Music, Crossroads Church, Cacapon Institute, Martinsburg Sunrise Rotary, Martinsburg Rotary, WVU Medicine, Books A Million, Eastern WV Community Foundation, Berkeley County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 5045, Martinsburg Police Department, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department, Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Bethel Assembly of God, United Way, VFW Post 5633, Friends of BCS Excess Levy Committee, New Life Church and the Berkeley County Office of Emergency Management.

The school district values all contributions that help create an environment where students can succeed socially, emotionally, physically and academically. "Together," as noted by BCS officials in their statement on the initiative's impact: "we are united for student success."
