This week, Cary Burgoyne is recognized as the GEM of the week for her contributions to Mountain Ridge Middle School. Mrs. Campbell praised Burgoyne's leadership and dedication, stating, "Cary Burgoyne is a true leader at Mountain Ridge Middle School. She makes decisions in our building, considering everyone's needs and feelings."

Burgoyne has served as the faculty senate president for a decade and has been instrumental in leading the student council. Her efforts have resulted in various student-centered activities aimed at fostering a sense of belonging among students. Additionally, she plays a crucial role in the hiring process by participating in interviews during the summer.

Mrs. Campbell further commended her positive attitude and commitment: "She is so positive about anything extra that gets put on our plates; she finds the good in all of us every day... Cary gives 100% of herself 100% of the time! She is a true gem!"
