Berkeley County Schools recently spotlighted five students from their Work Exploration program during January. The initiative provides students with practical workplace experience, aiding them in career decision-making post-graduation.
Jayden Cardwell, a student at Spring Mills High School, is in her third year of the program and currently works at the Spring Mills McDonald’s. Her bio highlights her dedication and the positive feedback she receives from customers.
Josiah Wilson, from Musselman High School, also in his third year, has worked at various establishments including Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Jersey Mike’s. He is currently employed at Food Lion in Inwood. Known for his outgoing nature, Wilson contributes to a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Zoe Jones from Hedgesville High School was highlighted for her work this school year at Berkeley Plaza Theatre and Kitchen’s Farm Market. Her commitment and positive attitude are emphasized by Berkeley County Schools: “Zoe’s positive attitude and incredible growth mindset set her apart,” they noted.
Martinsburg High School recognized Joseph Osborne and Shayma Ajaj. Osborne is appreciated for his willingness to assist colleagues and his uplifting presence: “Joseph brings a sense of joy to the workplace,” stated Berkeley County Schools.
Ajaj is praised for her leadership qualities and patience in guiding others through tasks. Her strong work ethic makes her a role model among peers.
