Friends of Music has awarded a $350 grant to Hedgesville Middle School. The funds will be used to purchase Snark tuners for the school's music classes.

Music teacher Savannah Hochberg, who applied for the grant, highlighted the importance of these tuners in her teaching routine. "Snark tuners are used to tune guitars, strings, or any type of plucking instrument," she said. "The tuners have really helped our classroom routine this year. All my orchestra classes (6th-8th grade) use these tuners during the first five minutes of class every day. It is important that string students learn how to tune and how to fix their strings without depending on me."

The grant aims to enhance the learning experience for students by enabling them to independently manage their instruments.
